Mr. Gerald W. "Jerry" Acosta of Prairieville, Louisiana, died June 20, 2014. He was 64 years old and a member of the Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Jerry is survived by his sons: Troy Acosta and wife Amy and Terry Acosta; his sister: Donna Billingsley and husband Patrick; his brother: Roger Dale Acosta, Sr. and wife Scharlene; grandchildren, Dylan Brock, Dawson Brock, Cody, Caylee, Anna Grace, and Maddox Acosta; other relatives and many dear friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbert and Vera Mire Acosta.
Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday morning, June 24, 2014, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, Louisiana. Fr. Eric Gyan officiated the mass.
Interment will be held at Hope Haven Cemetery in Prairieville with military honors.
Pallbearers were Troy Acosta, Terry Acosta, Eric Billingsley, Chet Billingsley, Dylan Brock, Cody Acosta, Roger Acosta, Jr., and Dawson Brock.
