Julie Ann (Wiand) Hartley, age 40 of Alexandria and formerly of Elwood, died November 20, 2006 in rural New Castle, Indiana as a result of an automobile accident. She was born October 6, 1966 in Elwood, Indiana. She was the Administrator at Addison House Healthcare Center in New Castle for the past two years. She formerly worked as Administrator at several nursing homes throughout central Indiana. She was a 1985 graduate of Elwood Community High School and a 1989 graduate of Ball State University in Muncie. She was a member of the New Castle Rotary Club and Secretary of the New Castle Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed Horses, Nascar, Swimming, and loved life in general. She was an avid Bon Jovi and sports fan, and she attended numerous auto races throughout the United States.

Survivors include: Daughter – Lynlie Strong of Alexandria, Parents – Paul A. and Darlene L. (Mumaugh) Wiand of Elwood; Sister – Denise Wiand of Anderson; 2 Brothers – Ron Wiand of Alexandria and Jeff and wife Donna Wiand of Elwood; 5 Nephews – Timmy, Ronny, Justin, Nick, and Derek; Niece – Jennifer; Great-Niece – Savannah; Special Companion – Skip Elkins of Elwood; and Many loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: Paternal Grandparents – Arando Wiand and Gracie Cromer and Maternal Granparents – Raymond and Evelyn Mumaugh.
