Clyde E. Austin
STRAUGHN, Ind. - Clyde E. Austin, 50 years old, well-known Henry county farmer residing northeast of Straughn, died Tuesday at the Veterans' hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a veteran of World War I having served overseas. He also belonged to the LeRoy Tout post of the American Legion in Dublin, the Cambridge lodge, No. 5, F. and A.M., and the Cambridge council, 98, R. and A.M., the Eastern Star, No. 510, and the Commandery No. 8, of Richmond.
He is survived by the widow, Myrtle; one daughter, Alice Jean, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Wrigley of Connersville, Mrs. Fred Boval of Richmond; and two brothers, Ralph Flook of Springfield, Ohio, and Gilford Flook of Richmond.
Funeral services will be held at the home northeast of Straughn at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be I Bryant's chapel south of Centerville. Friends may call at the home after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
