Coletta Gertrude "Colette" Schmidt, born on March 24, 1923 died peacefully at her residence in Fairborn, Ohio on October 19, 2010.

She was born to Charles and Gertrude Miller of Cleveland, Ohio. She had a brother Robert Miller who proceeded her in death.

Colette was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, graduated from St. Alexis School of Nursing, met and married her husband Dr. Delbert C. Schmidt in 1945. They moved to Mount Vernon in 1948 where Dr. Schmidt started his family practice, they made their home and raised their four children. After her husband's death in 1989, Colette continued to live in Mount Vernon until December 2007 when she moved to the Dayton area to be closer to family. Colette enjoyed golf, loved to shop and to vacation at the beach. Her greatest joy was her family.

Colette is survived by her daughters Laureene (Jim) Bollinger of Beavercreek, Jody (Eric) Tom of Bellefontaine; sons Tom (Stephanie) Schmidt of Birmingham, Alabama, Doug (Toni Jenkins) Schmidt of Gahanna; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren complete her family.
