Len M. Sharp, 89, resident of Anderson, passed away Feb. 11, 2011, at Saint John's Medical Center after an extended illness.

He was born June 9, 1921, in Lexington, Ky., the son of Leonard and Virginia Stella Sharp. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps as a Tech Sergeant on a B24 from 1942-1945.

He was a finance manager and salesperson in the automobile business in Arlington, Texas. He attended Trinity Community Church in Daleville.

Survivors include three sons, Michael Sharp (Kathy) of Frankton, James Sharp (Kay) of Ithica, N.Y., and Leonard Martin Sharp of Elwood; a daughter, Pat Dunham (Tim) of Pittsburgh, Pa.; two grandchildren, Timothy (Lisa and son, John) and Jennifer Sharp; beloved great-granddaughter, Tia Marie Sharp, all of Frankton.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 S. Walnut St., Daleville, with Pastor Paul Pletcher officiating. Burial will follow at a later time at the Marion Veterans Cemetery in Marion.
