Seketl'e Ut'an Jacobs was born peacefully into the arms of his mommy on August 13, 2011, and passed peacefully in the arms of his daddy on September 12, 2011. He rests now in the arms of his creator. During his short visit on earth, he filled his parents up with immense love, joy, and gratitude for each day he spent with them. Although he only met a handful of people during his life, he significantly impacted the lives of many more, bringing together a worldwide community in prayer, inspiration and love.
Seketl'e will be waiting in heaven to greet this community, including his mommy and daddy, Torin and Helena (Hoffman) Jacobs; his big brother Torin II; his aunties and uncles Tara and Ryan Parton, Andrei Jacobs, Julien and Erika Jacobs, Margaret and EJ David, Damien Jacobs, Dana Jacobs, Dominic Jacobs and Dewey Hoffman; cousins Patrick, Balin, Julien, Kylen, Daveon, Chazz, Laka and Manu; his grandparents David Hoffman, Dee Olin, Blanche Jacobs and Herbert Jacobs.
His auntie Sabrina, great-grandfathers Hultman Jacobs, Fred Olin II, John Honea, great-grandmothers Sarah Andrews, Mary Alice Jacobs, Lillian Olin, and Helen Hoffman surely stood in line at the gates of heaven to receive and hold their precious angel.
The Seattle Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House provided excellent care for Seketl'e and his parents during the last twelve days of his life. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family would be pleased to have you support the mission of these organizations.
A memorial service was held at Rabbit Creek Community Church in Anchorage on Friday, September 23, 2011 at 3:30pm.
