Mrs. Elizabeth Chew, 79, who resided at 117 East Keyser street in Garrett, died from a heart ailment at Community hospital in Garrett at 3:50 p.m. Monday. Mrs. Chew had been in failing health for two years and entered the hospital in Garrett five hours before her death.
The Rev. Peter E. Soudah, pastor of the Garrett Presbyterian church, will officiate at the services at the McKee funeral home Thursday at 1:30 p. m. and burial will follow in Calvary cemetery at Garrett.
Mrs. Chew was born March 5, 1884, at Center, Ohio, the daughter of the late Peter and Catherine Maiberger.
She and Albert C. Chew were married at Napoleon, O., on Dec. 15. 1908 and she resided in Garrett most of her life since their marriage. Mr. Chew preceded her in death.
Mrs. Chew was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian church.
Surviving are a son, Thomas Chew of Arlington, Va., three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. George McFadden of Fostoria, O.
