Add PhotosThis cemetery no longer exists. It was one of 18 cemeteries affected by the St. Lawrence Power Project in the 1950s that saw land in both Canada and New York state flooded to widen the St. Lawrence Seaway. The original location of this cemetery was on the grounds of the Battle of Crysler's Farm, fought during the War of 1812. At the time of the flooding, the land was property of Harry Casselman. It may also have been the resting place of soldiers who died in the battle, however no records exist indicating specific locations for military burials to confirm this.
At the time of the indexing of the cemetery by James A. Smart, O.B.E. for the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario in April 1956, there were 20 markers present to represent 26 known burials at the site. Prior to the flood, all markers were relocated to the nearby a href="https://www.findagrave.com/cemetery/2475284/st.-john's-lutheran"St. John's Lutheran Cemetery/a in Riverside Heights.
