He was the son of Merrill and Mildred (Hardin) Brown. On Oct 14, 1950, he married Marilyn L. McCoy, who survives in Lima.
Also surviving are a son, Paul Thomas Brown, TX; four daughters: Debra Ann Grant, Lima, Tamara Lynn (Lance) LeRoux, Langley, British Columbia, Robin Rachel (Robert) Gatliff, Cridersville, and Candace Ruth (Richard) Smothermon, Dayton; and six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son-in-law, Jonathan 'Jon' Grant.
A 1948 graduate of Lima South High School, in 1955 he and his best friend, Harold Kirchner, went into business together, starting Brown Supply Company, which he still owned and operated. He was a member of Bible Believers Church, giving his life to the Lord Jesus Christ in 1961. He was a dedicated Christian and an ambassador for Christ, traveling the world witnessing the good news. He proudly served in the United States Army.
Services will be at Bible Believers Church of Lima with Rev. Pat Napier officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
