Pianist. Nationally acclaimed, played in major concert halls across Europe, was the first to tour Iceland, played throughout Egypt and during World War I came back to the United States and performed with the New York Philharmonic. Shattuck studied with Leschetizky from 1895 to 1902.

Shattuck said, about his months of practice on a grand piano in an oasis deep in the Sahara: "For a pianist with a vivid imagination and a real desire to work, it is an ideal place to study."

Arthur Shattuck was the son of a Kimberly-Clark Corp. founder, F.C. Shattuck and Clara (Merriman) Shattuck.

Ashes are interred in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah, WI.
