Mrs. Edward Rhodes passed away Sunday, Jan. 28th, at 10:30 a.m. following the birth of a baby daughter on Saturday.
Dorothy Porter was born in Alexandria April 5, 1905 and was 23 years, 9 months and 23 days at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Edward Rhodes in 1922. To this union two children were born: Edward William age five and Dorothy Edna, baby girl a few days old.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 30, at 2:30 o'clock from the Free Methodist church, Rev. McMellon officiating. Interment was made in Geneva Woods cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Trefethern, Ralph Trefethern, Donald Shaver, Frank Dottler, Louis Mohawk and Floyd Mohawk.
