"Bob", the name used by family & friends when referring to Jack Nutter was born in Candytown, a small coal-mining village in Ward Twp., Hocking Co., OH. He died in Firelands Community Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio, 58 years later after an extended illness. He was survived by his wife, Virginia (Moomaw)Nutter.

Bob & "Jenny" were the parents of three sons and one daughter: twins, Robert & Ronald, Rodney and Renee (The four R's). Bob was the only son of Harry & Neva (Wilkinson) Nutter of Carbon Hill, OH with his mother preceding Bob in death. There was also two sisters: an infant sister who died in 1925 and Mary Lou (Nutter) Mitchell who is now deceased (2009).

He was a member of the Attica United Methodist Church and Attica Masonic Lodge. Funeral services were held in the Attica United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Stan Winters officiating.
