A memorial service will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte on Tuesday, February 3rd at 2:00. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service.
Mr. White attended Charlotte city schools and graduated from Virginia Episcopal School in 1945. He served in the US Army in 1945-47 and graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1951. He worked for Nisbet Oil Company and served as chairman of the company until his death. Mr. White served as an elder of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Charlotte Country Club, Linville Golf Club, and Springdale Hall. He served on the board of Catawba Land Conservancy for many years. During his lifetime, Mr. White enjoyed farming, forestry, fishing, golf, dancing, swimming, and gatherings with family and friends. His sense of humor, zest for life, and strength of character have been a great inspiration to those who knew him.
