Venice Emmaline "Benny" Collins, 80, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015, at Greystone Health Care.
She was born on September 21, 1934 in Jackson County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late Thomas Waitsel Johnson and Laura Bell Carson Johnson.
Mrs. Collins was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents,
Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Armond Darrell Collins; three brothers, Arville, Arnold and Winfred; four sisters, Margie Johnson Lance, Mattie Johnson Sherrill, Joyce Johnson and Alene Johnson Lewis.
Survivors include two sons, Arnold Darrell Collins and wife Teresa, of Kodak, TN and Terry Joe Collins and wife Janet, of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Stephen Lee Collins and Jonathan Lynn Collins, of Knoxville, TN., and Dr. Haylee Collins, of Jackson, TN; several great grandchildren; one brother, William Earl "Bill" Johnson; three sisters, Bernice Jones, Ora Blanche Ashburn, and Clara Bell Hubbard, all of Crossville, TN.
A private burial will be held in the Garden of Prayer at East Lawn Memorial Park.
