Actor. He was a versatile actor who appeared in film, television, and on the stage during a career that spanned five decades. He got his start in acting in a off-Broadway stage production of "Kid Champion" in 1975. He would go on to perform in many off-Broadway productions throughout his career. He made his Broadway debut in 1988 in the play "A Streetcar Named Desire". He would go to perform in such Broadway plays as "The Rose Tattoo" and "Twelve Angry Men". He made his first appearance in television in 1978 in an episode of the popular sitcom "M*A*S*H". He would go on to perform on such television shows as "The Waltons", "The Equalizer", "China Beach", "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", Law & Order", "Alpha House", "Elementary", and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit". He also acted in such films as "Simple Justice" (1989), "The Pelican Brief" (1993), "The Contender" (2000), "American Gangster" (2007), and "The Men Who Stare at Goats" (2009). He passed away of a heart attack.
