Mrs. Morrissey, mother to ex-Postmaster Morrissey, died at her home in this town Thursday afternoon. She was one of the first settlers here and made Alta her home for more than twenty-five years. She was the wife of James Morrissey, who returned to Ireland after her death and never returned to the States.
