She was born Elaine Patricia Deutsch and was best known for being a recurring panelist on the popular 1970s television gameshow "Match Game", in which she would often provide humorous and eccentric answers. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she began her career with the improv comedy group Ace Trucking Company, prior to landing work as a regular cast member during the final season of "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In" (1972 to 1973). This led to a decade of association with TV gameshows. In addition to "Match Game", she was a regular guest on the program "Tattletales", paired with her husband TV writer Donald Ross. In addition to her television work, she was known for her voice acting in numerous films including "Monsters, Inc." (2001). She died from cancer.
