JACKIE JOE BLACKWOOD
Jackie Joe Blackwood, 57, of Monett, died at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Cox Monett Hospital.
Mr. Blackwood was born March 4, 1947 in Liberal, Kansas to Guy Blackwood and Maxine Thompson Blackwood.
Mr. Blackwood grew up in Carthage, graduating from Carthage High School in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Blackwood returned to the area about four years ago.
He is survived by his Mother, Maxine Blackwood of Carthage, one brother, Tom Blackwood of Carthage and one sister Sharyn Wilkerson of Carthage. A memorial graveside service will be 2:00 Wednesday at Park Cemetery in Carthage.
Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Ulmer Funeral Home.
