MONTGOMERY - Ida Stoll, 73, died at 9:12 p.m Thursday (Feb. 17, 2000) at her residence. She had been in failing health for several months.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasantview Mennonite Church in Montgomery, with Noah Knepp Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasantview Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. today and Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
Born on April 9, 1926, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Chris and Anna (Wagler) Kemp. She married Elmo E. Stoll, on April 9, 1944. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 1997.
A lifelong community resident, she had been co-owner of Stoll's Lakeview Restaurant in Loogootee since July 1983. She was a born again Christian and a Pleasantview Mennonite Church member.
Survivors include four sons, Clarence and Paul Stoll, both of Montgomery; Phillip Stoll of Loogootee and Oren Stoll of Chandler; three daughters, Ruth (Stoll) Knepp of Montgomery; Martha (Stoll) Yoder of Cannelburg and Naomi (Stoll) Graber of Odon; two brothers, Martin Kemp of Loogootee and John Kemp of Cannelburg; three sisters, Lydia (Kemp) Wagler of Odon and Rosie (Kemp) Schrock and Katie (Kemp) Farmwald, both of Illinois; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Rachel (Stoll) Kemp; a son, Jesse Stoll; two sisters, Mary (Kemp) Graber and Leora Kemp; and a brother, Herman Kemp are deceased.
