Harold Donaldson was born January 21, 1934 at Strandquist, MN, the son of James and Nicholina (Rust) Donaldson. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith. He grew up and attended school at Strandquist. In 1951, Harold entered and served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on July 31, 1959.

On June 29, 1957, Harold was united in marriage to Delores Ruth Grossman at Wirt, MN. The couple resided at Wirt and later moved to Strandquist, where they have since resided. Harold worked in road construction, did carpentry work, such as building houses and retired from American Crystal Sugar Company.

He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting, painting, reading and puzzles.

Survived by 5 sons, Jeffrey (Margaret), Karlstad, MN, Jerry (Angela), Morrison, Manitoba, Canada, Harold (Melinda), Strandquist, MN, Brent (RaChelle), Badger, MN, and Jamie, Roseau, MN; 3 daughters, Connie (Roger) Carlson, Greeley, CO, Doreen (Marlin) Nelson, Karlstad, MN and Shelly (Loyal) Lefrooth, Standquist, MN; 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by wife, Delores; grandson, Andrew; parents; sister, Francis Anderson; brothers, James and Leslie.
