Carl Robert (Bob) Davidson was born on January 19, 1917 in Canistota, South Dakota to Mr. and Mrs. Harry Davidson.

He graduated as a pilot in the Marine Corps in September of 1940.

Shortly before December 7, 1941, Lieutenant Davidson was sent to Wake Island.

The official notice was that Bob had been killed in action on December 22, 1945. His remains were never found.

His mother preceded Bob Davidson in death. He was survived by his father, Harry B. Davidson; his stepmother; and his stepsister, Mrs. James Munson.

Lieutenant Davidson is memorialized at the Marine Memorial in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
