Elizabeth (Schwartz) Stoll was born in Stark co., Ohio, February 4, 1845; died at the home of her daughter, Mrs Anna Kauffman, Jasper Co., In, April 14, 1926, aged 81 years, 2 months, 10 days. Her parents died when she was but a small child. She then made her home with Crist Graber of Allen Co., Indiana. She united with the Old Order Amish Mennonite Church in her youth.
In 1864 she was united to John Stoll of France. To this union were born 10 children, 3 of whom preceded her in death. Those surviving are: Joseph, Peter, Victor, Mrs Barbara Miller, Mrs Katie (Jacob) Miller, Mrs Lena Overholt, and Mrs Anna Kauffman. Also 58 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
Death was due to the infirmities of age. She was up walking about the house a week before her death. The last few days she slept most of the time until at last she fell asleep in Jesus, which she longed for so long.
Thursday afternoon there were funeral services held at her daughter's home, conducted by Bro. David Helmuth and Albert Anderson, Thursday night the remains were take to Loogootee, Indiana for burial. Burial was made Sunday April 20. Services conducted by Bros. John Graber and Abraham Knepp.
