Dec. 8, 1977 - Oct. 21, 2005 Joseph Grover, 27, of Nampa passed away Oct. 21, 2005 at home with his wife by his side after a short battle with cancer. Joe was born Dec. 8, 1977 to Tiny and Iris Grover in Jerome. Joe lived a variety of places during his childhood, but spent most of it in Middleton, Idaho. He loved cars and started helping his dad in his shop fixing cars when he was young. It has been part of his life ever since. He graduated from Middleton High School in 1997 and worked a variety of jobs, all related to cars. When he was 22 years old he served an LDS mission in Melbourne, Australia and returned to marry his sugar pie that he waited 2 ½ years to be with on Oct. 26, 2002 in the Boise Idaho Temple. Joe served a variety of church callings including Elders Quorum President. He loved to serve people more than anything. He was so excited to be a dad and was thrilled when his daughter, Melissa was born on April 23, 2004. He looked forward everyday to watch her grow and learn and say, "Daddy!" He was in awe everyday of how much she made him laugh. The night he passed on he was so excited to hear her say "I love you" for the first time. He loved to learn new things and the latest thing was photography. He loved taking pictures of everything, especially Melissa. He loved hunting, fishing, being outside, and spending time with his family. He was so happy. He was always smiling, laughing and joking. Everybody he met was his friend. He is survived by his eternal sweetheart, Sherry Grover; his beautiful daughter, Melissa Grover; his parents, Tiny and Gail Grover and Iris and Bill Whiteley; 15 brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews who adored "Uncle Joe." He is preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Grover; Grandma and Grandpa Holmes; and his stepbrother, Robbie Whiteley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005 at the Nampa LDS Second Ward Chapel located on 2212 E. Amity, Nampa. Friends may call to visit with the family on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Relyea Funeral Chapel, and from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday prior to the services. Interment will follow at the Dry Creek Cemetery. "We love you so much and will miss you terribly. We know you are doing what you love and with a smile!" Boo! Joe has requested in lieu of flowers that contributions can be made at any Washington Mutual Bank for Sherry and Melissa.
