She was born on Sept. 6, 1949, in Wooster, to Floyd and Viola (Falb) Hershberger, and was united in marriage to Kenny L. Hamsher on July 24, 1976, in Orrville. He survives.
Kathy was employed by Dalton Local Schools for 41 years as an administrative assistant to the superintendent. She retired in 2008.
She was an active member of Orrville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. She loved serving the Lord as a Sunday school teacher and greeter at the welcome center.
Kathy enjoyed going to southern gospel music concerts and spending time with her family. Her friends brought much joy to her life.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Judy Hershberger and Barbara Jones.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Davita Kidney Dialysis Center in Canton for their loving care the past six years.
Funeral services will be held at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville on Friday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Paul Simonsen officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery, Walnut Creek at 2:30 p.m.
