Daughter of Lensy Lafayette "Fate" and Lou Emma Weeks Harper, Bea was the oldest of ten children. She married Ira Elbert Monger Nov. 11, 1913 in Peace Valley, Missouri. Bea and Ira lived in Oklahoma for a while before moving to California. They were the parents of six children, Mildred, Lucille, Maxine, Eileen, Wanda and Glenn.
