Father of US Senator Prescott Bush, paternal Grandfather of US President George H. W. Bush and Great Grandfather of US President George W. Bush.

He was the former president and general manager of the Buckeye Steel Castings Company, a graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology, class of 1884. His career began that same year as an apprentice in the shops of the Pennsylvania Railroad at Logansport, Indiana.
