Nacke was a distribution manager for Kay-Bee Toys, supervising 400 employees at a center in Clinton, New Jersey. He began working for Kay-Bee in 1997. The 42-year old father of sons Joseph Nicholas and Louis Paul II was on his way to Sacramento, California for business. As a child his family, which also included three siblings, moved frequently because of his father’s job. He graduated from a high school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1977 but the years that his family spent in western Pennsylvania made him a loyal fan of the Pittsburgh sports teams. On September 16, 2000 he married Amy Weisberg and the couple lived with her parents in New Hope, Bucks County, Pennsylvania while their own home was being built nearby. He enjoyed buying wines over the internet and sharing them with his father-in-law and friend, Robert Weisberg. On September 16, 2001, Mrs. Nacke and her family gathered at her husband’s favorite restaurant to celebrate her one year anniversary and to toast her late husband with a bottle of California Cabernet that he had bought. According to Robert Weisberg, “We said, ‘We’re going to miss you like hell and you’re probably mad as hell that we opened this wine.’" (Bio by: Melanie)
