Fred White married Helen Lillian the daughter of Alexander and Julia(Chmielnicki)Soyak on Jan.26,1930 in St.Johns Lutheran Church,Brooklyn.The ceremony was conducted by the Rev.Henry C.Wolk.Fred and Helen had three sons; Frederick b.1932,William b.1933 and Patrick b.1946.Our POP worked as a truck driver,cowhide tanner,coal handler for Burns Brothers Coal Co. and bartender in various local taverns in the East Williamsburg area of Brooklyn.He was the son of Frederick Alonzo and Charlotte Elizabeth(Hencken)White.His last residence was 97 Knickerbocker Ave. Death occured in Kings County Hospital.The funeral was by James Mancuso 31 Wilson Ave.with cremation at Fresh Pond Crematory.The remains were buried on Jan.11 1965 in Evergreens Cemetery in the grave of his nephew Horace Bassett,the son of his sister Charlotte.To my brothers and me,he was always "Pop".
