George was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
He had worked most of his life as a commercial trucker after which had been employed at Dingley Press until his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman who truly loved the outdoors. He was also proud to be a member of the Knights of Columbus and was also a 4th degree member.
Survivors include three sons, George Yeaton, III of Auburn, ME; Clarence Yeaton of Lewiston, ME; and Harold Yeaton and wife Eileen of Auburn, ME; five daughters, Stanlene McKinney and husband Kevin of Richmond, ME; Mary Jane Partee of Lewiston, ME; Debbie Ridlon of Lewiston, ME; Louise Salley and husband Sam of Norway, ME; and Peggy May of Lewiston, ME; two brothers, Willis Grover and wife Nancy of Augusta, ME; and Elwood Yeaton and wife Barbara of West Paris, ME; one sister, Joline Martin and husband, Richard of Minot, ME. Also surviving are many, grandchildren, great grandchildren.
