First wife of Philip Zang, brewery magnate of Denver, Denver, Colorado; they were married June 1853 in Philidelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Their only child, Adolph Joseph Zang was born 14 August 1856 at Louisville, Jefferson, Kentucky.
In 1860, her husband sold his brewery in Louisville, relocating in Denver, Denver, CO.
She may have made the move with him and then returned to Chicago, or else remained behind. In any event, he eventually married divorcee, Anna Barbara Kalberer [Buck], in 1870.
Note: Even though various reports were that Elizabeth Zang was interred at Chicago's Graceland Cemetery, contributor BOB LERCH notified this researcher that he had requested a gravestone photo; and, when contacted, the Graceland Cemetery staff reported to him, "Mrs. Zang was cremated on 10/19/1894 and her ashes were taken home."
This information is appreciated, and her ash location is that they were released to family.
