George H. Bradley, 63, of Palatka died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at Putnam Community Medical Center after a short illness.
The MacClenny, Florida native had lived in Palatks since 1977, coming from Ft. Pierce, Fla. He had worked on farms for many years and was of the Baptist denomination.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma C. Bradley and by a son, John H. Cothron.
He is survived by his children, Bobbie Fox of Hastings, Kathleen Pitts of Perry, Fla., Roy Smoot of Shellville, Ga., Dorothy McGowan of Hazlehurst, Ga., Charles Smoot of Wood River, Ill, and Sue Cothron of Palatka; mother, Leona Clark of Jacksonville; sisters, Sara Beckham of Ft. Pierce, Mae Tilley of Jacksonville, Effie George of Hendersonville, Tenn., Shirley Glenn of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Joanne Higdon of Old Town, Fla.; brothers, Billy Bradley of Illinois, Leroy Bradley of Dade City, Fla., Charles Bradley of Colquitt, Ga., James Terrell of Ft. Pierce, and William Terrell and Wayne Terrell, both of Palatka; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild along with numerous friends.
Graveside services will be held today, 9 a.m. at Oak Hill East Cemetery in Palatka with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating.
