Grover A. Lambert, 87, died Saturday, November 10, 2012, at his home. He was born October 26, 1925, to Billy Fate and Mattie Johnson Lambert. He was a member of Jones Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He enjoyed squirrel hunting, cutting wood, working in his barn and activities with his grandsons.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 12, 2012, at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Wright and Bro. Travis Smith officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Jones Chapel Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Verdeen Smith Lambert; two daughters, Diane (David) Bearden and Joan (Tony) Bonds, both of Booneville; two grandsons, Starsky (Samantha) Bearden and Shane Bonds; and one great-granddaughter, Brianna Bearden.

He was prededed in death by his parents, four sisters, Beatrice Johnson, Bonnie Taylor, Donnie Jones and Ilene Bain; and three brothers, Millage Lambert, Tommy Fate Lambert and Jasper Lambert.

Pallbearers will be Starsky Bearden, Shane Bonds, Tony Bonds, Ricky Johnson Sylvester Jones and Don Lambert.
