Mrs. Gladys Estelle Tanner Adams, age 74, of 139 Palmer Rd., Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 1996 at Floyd Medical Center.

Mrs. Adams was born in Haralson County on August 22, 1922.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Robert B. Tanner and Minnie Lee Chastain Tanner. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker.

Surviving are: her husband, Mr. John Henry Adams, Cedartown; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Tant, Cave Springs and Mrs. Betty Oliver, Cedartown; two sons, Mr. William "Bo" Adams and Mr. Danny Franklin Adams, both of Cedartown; fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Adams were held Thursday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m. from the Little Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Royce Campbell and Rev. Moses Wilson officiating. Music was rendered by Mrs. Stephanie Purser.

Interment followed in the Polk Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers were: Derek Adams, Donnie Adams, Richard Bishop, Brad Shellhorse, Greg Oliver, John Bradley Oliver, Dwight Tant, Tommy Shaw.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan had charge of the arrangements.
