Ethel Pearl Padgett Milburn, age 82, of Armory Hill, Springfield, passed away at 9:22 p.m., Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon. A native of Washington County, she was born on Dec. 30, 1929 to the late John Hubert 'Bert' and Georgia Ann Cocanougher Padgett. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, a 1949 graduate of Springfield High School and a former employee of Cecconi's Restaurant. Preceding her in death were her husband, Neal K. Milburn on May 17, 2004; two brothers, G.T. Padgett and William Fisher Padgett; and two sisters, Irene Padgett and Rozelle Edwards. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Lynn Pina and her husband, Gregory of Lexington; a son, Larry Neal Milburn of Gravel Switch; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her twin brother, Otis Earl 'Pete' Padgett of Campbellsville and four nieces. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 20 at Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Cal Adams, pastor of Temple Baptist Church, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. John McDaniel, a former pastor. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Gregory Pina, Alicia Pina, April Carney, Lee Spivey, Amber McCauley, Paige McCauley, Christopher Milburn and Tyler Milburn. Casket bearers were Donald Weakley, Jeffrey Huddleston, Ronnie Hardwick, Phillip Milburn, Chris Barnett and Chris Reynolds. Carey & Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
