Garry Dean Smith, of 34 Paulina Branch Rd, West Liberty, Ky., passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012, at his residence at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 12 days after an extended illness.

He was born December 19, 1945, at Dingus, Ky., in Morgan County.

He was a construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ora Smith, two brothers, Michael and Fairley Smith, a sister, Teresa Goodpaster, step-father, Kenneth Burgett, grandson, Timothy Michael Smith and granddaughter, Delaina Hollon.

Surviving is his wife, Sharon Stacy Smith, West Liberty, Ky., his mother, Sylvia Sparks Smith Burgett of West Liberty, Ky., four daughters, Kathy (Dean) Moore of Elkfork, Ky., Anita (Dean) Smith of West Liberty, Ky., April Lawson of Ezel, Ky., Letha Smith and fiance, Matthew Lindon of Helechawa, Ky., three sons, Timmy (Kim) Smith of West Liberty, Ky., Jimmy (Jeanie) Smith of Elliottsville, Ky., Johnny (Royetta) Smith of Ezel, Ky., four sisters, Velma Dulen of West Liberty, Ky., Alma (Denzil) Cantrell of West Liberty, Ky., Pam (Mike) Vest of West Liberty, Ky., Marcella (Jonathan) Arnett of Somerset, Ky., four brothers, Darrell (Brenda) Smith of Elkfork, Ky., Darris (Sandy) Smith of West Liberty, Ky., Drexell (Shara) Smith of Elkfork, Ky., Dwayne (Twana) Smith of West Liberty, Ky., thirteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and his Special Pet Chubs.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Bro. Jonathan Arnett officiating. Burial in the Mary Pack Cemetery, Smith Creek Rd, West Liberty, Ky.

Visitation will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Friends and Relatives.
