BESSIE HUBATKA

CARTHAGE, Mo. - Mrs. Bessie F. Hubatka, 81, 404 East 13th St., died at 12:21 p.m. Sunday at McCune-Brooks Hospital here where she was admitted an hour earlier. She had been ill for several months.
Mrs. Hubatka was born September 14, 1896 in Maryville. She married Edward P. Hubatka April 6, 1943 in Girard, Kansas. They had lived in Joplin before moving to Carthage in 1953. He died January 2, 1962.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, Joplin Chapter, of which she was past tent president and past state president.
Surviving are two step-sons, Louis Hubatka of Broken Arrow, OK., and Elmer Hubatka of Los Angeles, CA.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Conrelison, Oklahoma City, OK., and two sisters, Mrs. Henry Lasiter of Carterville and Mrs. Bernice Whitford of Carthage.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Knell Mortuary.
The Rev. Jack Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. bio provided by I Remember When
