Maureen was quite a gifted and well-rounded athlete. She excelled in the sport of swimming and as a pre-teen, enjoyed practicing her high diving skills in the Olympic size swimming pool at South Hills Country Club. She was also a very talented artist, learning to oil paint at a very early age. At the age of 17, Maureen earned her cosmetology license and worked very hard the next 40+ years in that field and, once again, excelled at what she did. Maureen was quite an accomplished cook and especially enjoyed fixing holiday meals for friends and family. Maureen had a tender heart for animals and never turned away a cat or dog in need. If she couldn't provide a home for a stray, she'd find someone who could.
Maureen is survived by her younger sister Charlene and her older brother Michael as well as several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was predeceased by only a few months by her younger brother, Patrick and many years ago by her parents. She leaves behind her beloved doggy, Rascal.
