Louis William Wright, age 81, of Carrollton, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at his home.

Louis was born January 19, 1931 in Brunswick, Missouri, the son of Louie Ashburn and Ruth (Carver) Wright. He attended Brunswick schools.

On January 14, 1954 Reverend Kenneth Powell married him to June Charlene Boothe at the Christian Church parsonage in Carrollton. She survives at the home.

Louis was a United States Army veteran and served as a radio operator. He was a diesel mechanic for Green Quarries in Carrollton.

Louis is survived by his wife, June, children: Carolyn and Phil Zamarripa, Carrollton, Missouri; Phil and Marilyn Wright, Norborne, Missouri; Dennis and Janelle Wright, Waverly, Missouri; Pam and Greg Reed, Carrollton, Missouri; Lori and Garry Laing, Carrollton, Missouri; Sheri and Robert Cardenas, Carrollton, Missouri; Scott and Ashley Wright, Carrollton, Missouri; two brothers, Orville Wright, Ronnie Wright; five sisters, Janet Lightfoot, Freda Standley, Esther Sander, Barbara Kilbreth, Beverly Diamond, Charlotte Avery; twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-nine great-grandchildren.

His parents, two sons, Bruce Wright and Randy Wright, two sisters, Darlene Yuille and Dorothy Sander, and nine other siblings preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at Gibson Funeral Home, Carrollton, Missouri, with graveside services following at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri.

The family suggests contributions be made to H.E.L.P. Services Cancer Fund in memory of Louis. They may be left at or mailed to Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
