He was born Dec. 12, 1926 in Temvik, North Dakota, and worked in construction for 20 years, then worked for the Elk Grove Meat Company for 20 years.
Mr. Forderer enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing. His family said that his favorite vacation spot was Eagle Lake. They added that both "Leo and Pat (his wife) enjoyed annual trips to Yuma for 12 years as ‘snowbirds.'"
He is survived by his wife of 64 years; three daughters and three sons-in-law; a son and daughter-in-law; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and several nieces and nephews.
