Berlin – Anna Marie (Weaver) Simpson, 86, of Berlin, died Sunday morning, April 15, 2007, at the Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg.
Funeral services will be by 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Martins Creek Mennonite Church, County Road 203, with Rev. Carl Weibe officiating. Burial will be at the Church Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. tonight (Monday) at the Martins Creek Mennonite Church and also one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Martin Creek Mennonite Church Building Fund, Save-N-Serve of Millersburg, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
She was born Aug 7, 1920, in Walnut Creek Township and was the daughter of Eli J. and Mary Ann (Hershberger) Weaver. On Oct. 19, 1963, she married Robert Simpson and he preceded her in death Aug. 30, 1977. She worked many years for Mullet Coal and Clay and was a member of the Martins Creek Mennonite Church.
Surviving are two brothers, John R. Weaver of Berlin, and Vernon R. Weaver of Millersburg, two sisters, Mabel J. Miller of Walnut Hills and Joan Showalter of Wilmot, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph E. Weaver and Joe Weaver, and two sisters, Grace Gerber and Lela Wengerd.
