Son of Frank Ward and Anne Sue Copeland Cayce. Frank married (1) Frances Dowling, (2) Rachel Morris, and (3) Margaret Baldwin.

SUMTER - Frank Ward Cayce, 69, died Tuesday. Born in Birmingham, Ala., he was a son of the late Frank Ward and Anne Sue Copeland Cayce. He was a member of the SC State Museum Commission and past president of Florence Chamber of Commerce and the SC Association of Mechanical Contractors. He was chairman of the board of Cayce Co. Inc. of Florence.

Mr. Cayce was a retired colonel of the Army Reserves and was a veteran of WW II. He was a graduate of Auburn University and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sumter.

He was first married to the late Frances Dowling Cayce and then to the late Rachel Morris Bloodworth Cayce.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Baldwin Rowland Cayce; a stepson, Lucian F. Bloodworth of Birmingham; step daughters, Mrs. D. Laurence (Frances) McIntosh of Florence and Mrs. Stephen R. (Ethel) Pettigrew of Clemson; stepsons, Charles G. Rowland III of Camden, Earle Rowland II of Paxville and Cabell C. Rowland of Columbia; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louise R. Barnhart of Camden.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church of Sumter, with burial at 4:30 p.m. in Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence.
