Born March 19, 1918 in Holmes County, she was a daughter of the late Arletus and Nellie (Snyder) Sommers.
She was a homemaker and a housekeeper for many years. Orpha was a member of the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church. Her husband, Roy O. Yoder, preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2003.
She is survived by her children, William S. (Charlene) Yoder of Ukiah, Calif., Roy J. (Clarice) Yoder of Blacklick and Lillian (Steve) Kauffman of Berlin; five grandchildren, Jenna (Josh) Mason, Lauren Yoder, Kyle (Amanda) Kauffman, Eric Kauffman and Mike (Kris) Yoder; and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine (Russell) Reiger of Dover; and a brother, Christian (Mabel) Sommers, also of Dover.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Sommers.
Graveside committal services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Walnut Creek Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial service will follow in the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church at 11 a.m., with Pastors Don Hamsher and Dan Owolabi officiating. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. in the Walnut Creek Mennonite Church.
