Catherine V. France Bissell, 89, of Zionsville died April 8, 2013. Catherine was born August 30, 1923 in Brazil, Indiana to Roy and Ida Wilhelmina Krampe France; they preceded her in death as did her brothers, Ray France and Paul France; and her beloved husband, Burdette Bissell, whom she wed June 19, 1955 in Christ Lutheran Church in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Bissell was a 1941 graduate of Brazil High School and a 1944 graduate of Terre Haute Business College where she majored in accounting. Catherine was a founding member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Indianapolis and most recently enjoyed membership at Carmel Lutheran. She worked in bookkeeping and accounting for US Rubber. Catherine retired from US Rubber to raise her family and take care of her home before returning to HR Block, specializing in tax preparation, after her children were grown.

Mrs. Bissell enjoyed life's simple pleasures such as travelling, golf, playing euchre and bridge. She was active in PTO and Scouting as her children grew making a wonderful home for them and her eventual grandkids that she enjoyed so much.

Mrs. Bissell is survived by her son, Gerald Bissell (Deborah); her daughter, Linda Bickett (Mark); her grandchildren; and her great granddaughter.
