Robert H. Graffice, 90, of Sandusky, died Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013, in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.

He was born March 22, 1923, in Huron County and graduated from New London High School. He worked for Scott Paper Co. for more than 23 years as a machine repairman and supervisor.

Robert served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, and Moose Lodge. He also was a member of Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church, Sandusky. Robert loved to spend time with grandchildren, go hunting, fishing, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dana (Weber) Graffice; two daughters, Sherri Wirick and Kim (Jack) Bright; two sons, Glen (Karen) Graffice and Larry (Paula) Wirick; five grandsons, Mitch and Adam Ayers, and Zach, Cody, and Nyle Graffice; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ann Oddo and Charlene Henny; two brothers, James and Howard Graffice; three cousins and numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog Tippy.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Gertrude (Livingood) Graffice; sisters Pauline, Katherine and Shirley; brothers Paul, Eddie, Ralph, Bill and Harold; half brother Chuck; and grandson, Matthew Ayers.

Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at Columbus Avenue United Methodist Church, 2401 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Ted Austin and Pastor Atkinson will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870 and to Columbus Ave United Methodist Church, 2401 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
