Dr. J.I. LAMAR, one of the prominent citizens of Deatsville,died at his home there last Monday, May 11th, 1903. Dr. LAMAR was in his 74th year... He was first married to Miss Martha ROBINSON, and after her death to Miss Bessie JORDON, of Georgia, who survives him. He leaves surviving him two children, Mrs. S.O. Townsend of Troy, and Mr. J.D. LAMAR, who is a prominent and successful merchant of Deatsville. The remains were interred in the Old Robinson Cemetery ear Fays Station on last Wednesday. -Prattville Progress, May 1903
