Lewis A. VanDusen, age 82, died Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua.

He is survived by his son, Eric (Faith) VanDusen of Lynnfield, Mass; three grandchildren, Jesse, Harry and Bayley; dear friend, Margie Guttenberg of Canandaigua; a niece; and a nephew.

He was predeceased by his sister, Katherine Burns.

Mr. VanDusen was born in Canandaigua and was the son of Lewis and Elizabeth (Dukelow) VanDusen.

He attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy, class of 1945. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. VanDusen worked in the furniture business for over 50 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed golfing and skiing. Mr. VanDusen was a former member of Canandaigua Country Club. He spent his summers on Canandaigua Lake for many years.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home Inc., 47 N. Main St., Canandaigua. Services are private.

Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to , 435 E. Henrietta Road, Rochester, NY 14620.
