The month of June was certainly June's month! She was born on June 2nd, her parents named her June, she married on June 19th, and she passed away on June 22nd.
A lifelong resident of Hamblen County, she began her working career at McCrory's Dime Store. She was later employed at American Enka in Lowland. She taught many children in her job as a substitute teacher in the Hamblen County school system. She worked and retired from the Russellville office of the Holston Electric Cooperative with 20+ years of service.
Her love and dedication to family and friends was always evident by her warm hospitality and her "southern style" cooking. She and her husband, C. D., marked their 58th Wedding Anniversary just 3 days before her death.
June passed away on her brother Charles's birthday, who had passed just 6 months before her.
