Marshall Don Wilson was born in Wills Point on June 20, 1941 to Hensley and Lila Parker Wilson. Don passed away in a Dallas hospital on April 20, 2013. Don was raised in Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School in 1960. He moved to Kaufman in his early 20's where he lived most of his life until he moved to Terrell in 2007. Don owned and operated Don Wilson's Fine Used Cars and Trucks for over forty years and was a cattleman for many years. He was a member of the Beefmaster Association for over forty years where he served in many different capacities. Don was a past trustee with the Kaufman Independent School District for two terms. He was also a former board member of the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Kaufman and a member of the First Baptist Church in Kaufman since 1965. Don married Betty Jo Barton in Kaufman on August 24, 2012. He is survived by his wife: Betty Jo of Terrell, son: Wynn Wilson of Kaufman, daughters: Lisa Aulds and her husband John of Kaufman and Laura Throneberry and her husband Dwayne of Kaufman, grandchildren: Colton Wilson, Keller Wilson, Justin Throneberry Jake Throneberry and Kaylee Aulds, brothers: Coy Wilson of Canton and Loy Wilson of Hurst, sister: Nita Sue Hardy of Buffalo. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home with interment following in Wilson Chapel Cemetery.
