Dorothy A. Oldham, 89, of Las Vegas passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012. She was born Jan. 19, 1923, in Ohio, and was a resident of Las Vegas since 1967. Dorothy was a real life "Rosie the Riveter" during World War II, but then went on to work as a seamstress for Caesars Palace for 23 years. She loved sewing, crocheting, solving puzzles, and making Christmas stockings for her family every year. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, of 27 years, Charles; and son, Jack. She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl and Debra (Angelo); five grandchildren, Kelley, Adam, Dorothy, Angela and Jennifer; and 10 great-grandchildren, Samantha, Rakim, Cheyenne, Anthony, Jacob, Sophia, Mona, Hailey, Glenanne and Olive. Services will be private.
