The funeral for Etta May Tamblin 73, of 8951 Lake Park Circle North, Davie, Florida will be on Thursday at 11:00 am in the chapel of TLC Funeral Home, Inc. Internment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Rodman. Mrs. Tamblin died at the Westside Regional Hospital in Florida on July 5, 2013. Pastor Norman Clark will be officiating.

She was born August 22, 1939 in Watertown, NY to Norman J. and Doratha Souva Clark. She graduated from Mannsville High School. Etta proudly served in the United States Navy in communication from 1957-1959. She was honorably discharged as a communications officer second class from Treasure Island, San Francisco, CA.

On October 31, 1969 she married David Tamblin. He passed away in 1997. A previous marriage to Richard Warner ended in 1964.

After raising her children, she went to work in the early 1980's for Fox Photography in Texas. After leaving Fox Photography , she worked for several years at The Hamptons in Houston, Texas, as an assistant director of life enrichment for the elderly. She retired in August 2008 and later moved in with her son, Wade Warner. In April 2012, she and her son moved to Florida.

Mrs. Tamblin's greatest joy was the love and time well spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren

She will be fondly remembered for her Christmas holiday cookies that went to all, and enjoyed her fulfilling life which included crafts, knitting, crocheting, and making homemade jellies and jams.

Surviving are her four sons and three daughter in laws Stanley and Darlene Warner of Port Orchard, Washington, Richard and Barbara Warner of Austin, TX Wade and Mandy Torres-Warner of Davie, FL, and Adam Warner of Stephenville, TX, her three stepsons and their spouses; David and Robin Tamblin, Jr. of Bandera, TX, Michael and Yaniero Tamblin of Tracy, CA, and Christopher and Marjorie Tamblin of Loxahatchie; FL, her two brothers and sister in laws, Elliot and Judy Clark of Dexter, NY and Norman and Diane Clark of Mexico, NY. She is also survived by her two sisters and brother in laws Mrs. Richard (Norma) Tamblin of Rodman, NY and Mrs. John (Darlene) Johovic of Felton, Delaware, 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins. A sister Audrey Tamblin passed away before her.
